The Sally Metcalfe star will be embroiled in a dramatic Super Soap Week on the Cobbles
The 60-year-old has been a mainstay on the Cobbles since she joined the show as Sally Metcalfe in 1986. Across her 37 drama-filled years on the Cobbles, Sally has been Mayor of Weatherfield, married three times and even been sent to prison.
Todd told the ECHO his character would be prepared to do whatever it takes to evade justice and teased that the actor who plays Tim, Joe Duttine, could be about to leave the show with him. He said: "If anything gets in his way, there's no question. He's got all the finesse of a bulldozer at this point. He just needs to get out."
It has also been a busy time for Sally away from her familiar role in the Cobbles. Kaye Adams confirmed Sally will appear in a new role on Monday as she will be a guest panelist on Loose Women. The 28-year-old shot to stardom with her role as Siobhan Mailey on Waterloo Road in 2009 - and her career has continued to go from strength to strength. She played the lead role in Netflix's Bridgerton, which was the streaming platform's biggest hit of all time when season one debuted on December 25, 2020.
