Coronation Street aired devastating scenes last week as Les Battersby's family learnt that he had died following an accident at work.
The episode saw Les' daughter, Leanne Battersby, played by Jane Danson, visited by the police as they explained: "Leanne Battersby, there’s no easy way to say this - your dad was involved in an accident at work last night", adding: "I’m sorry but he died from his injuries." Solicitor, Adam Barlow, played by Sam Robertson, reveals that the abattoir where Les worked has offered £50k in compensation for his death, with the condition of signing an NDA.
During the scenes, soap watchers have been left confused as to how Leanne, Toyah and Chesney are all related especially as Chesney has called the now late character 'Uncle Les', with fans taking to social media for answers. One person said: "Can someone tell me how Leanne and Ches, and Toyah are related please? Ches just said uncle Les, I thought Cilla was his mum.
