Coronation Street's Sarah Platt stooped to a brand new low on Wednesday as her affair with Damon Hay was rumbled by her young son Harry, prompting her to try and cover her tracks
Coronation Street fans were treated to an extra dose of drama on Wednesday evening’s episode of the long-running soap, when Sarah Platt’s affair with Damon Hay was finally rumbled by her young son Harry. For weeks now, Sarah and Damon have embarked on a steamy forbidden love affair, despite Sarah being in a relationship with lawyer Adam Barlow.
Looking on from the doorway to his room, Sarah’s young son Harry clocked sight of the pair snogging, something which later came to light when he recreated the steamy scene by drawing a picture of it for his granny Gail! Confronted by the truth, Gail warned Sarah to behave and not risk her relationship with Adam - although Sarah continued to deny anything had happened between them.
Troubled by the gaslighting behaviour, several fans took to social media to share their thoughts on the situation, with many cheering on Harry for having the courage to tell his mother she was wrong. “I feel nothing for Sarah at all - She hasn't just cheated she's lied to her family and now she's manipulated her own child just to cover her own sorry backside,” wrote one fan.
