Luca Toolan has become a regular face on Coronation Street since his debut last year as bad boy student Mason Radclyffe, but away from the soap, he also has a well-known father
Soap actor Luca Toolan made his professional acting debut on Coronation Street at the end of 2023 playing the role of bad boy student Mason Radclyffe who was introduced as part of a storyline tackling the issue of bullying in schools. But Luca is not the only famous member of the Toolan family with his father Mike also well-known across the UK.
In new scenes airing tonight at 8:00pm on ITV1, fans will see dark and shocking scenes as Mason is stabbed by his brothers Matty and Logan. While Mason's backstory is currently underexplored, New Corrie boss Kate Brooks is said to be keen to shine a light on the issue of knife crime with Mason at the centre of it.
Following recent scenes of Mason in court, Luca's dad Mike, who currently co-host Hits Radio's drivetime show, shared a picture of his son as Mason being given his verdict on Instagram and X, formerly known as Twitter, and said: "Guilty! I knew it!" When Luca appeared on This Morning back in February, presenter Rochelle Humes also pointed out his famous connection. She said: "I know your dad! Sorry, I didn't know it was that Mike! When we were in we used to do radio tours and we always used to see your dad. Sorry, that took me by surprise."
