Coronation Street viewers believe they've figured out who Lauren Bolton is moving in with, and it's an unexpected resident. This week saw Joel Deering, portrayed by Calum Lill, finally unmasked for his dreadful deeds on the ITV 1 show.
Joel insidiously infiltrated Lauren's life, initially assisting her with bills before manipulating her into a sexual relationship. Following a heated argument where Lauren mentioned his fiancee Dee-Dee Bailey's name, he brutally attacked her, leaving her for dead. Despite Joel believing he had evaded justice, the truth was revealed this week. In a shocking turn of events, Joel was the first to approach the police, weaving a web of deceit about Lauren.
Lauren has made a pledge to travel to Ireland, which was her initial plan before the dramatic events unfolded. In the episode aired on Wednesday , Lauren and Roy Cropper, portrayed by David Neilsonwho was wrongly imprisoned for her supposed murderhad a meaningful conversation.
