Coronation Street star Charlotte Jordan says Daisy’s love triangle is bound to come to an end soon and reveals she likes to spend her spare time with her adorable pet dog, Olive
When Daisy Midgeley arrived in Coronation Street she was gutsy, flirty and fun. Now Daisy, played by Charlotte Jordan, 28, is a shadow of her former self after her stalking drama culminated in a horrific acid attack.
Charlotte is referring to the love triangle involving Daisy, Daniel and Ryan. Daisy is engaged to Daniel Osbourne and they were almost married until her stalker Justin Rutherford ruined their big day. Ryan Connor saved Daisy from Justin’s attack, but in the process became a victim himself. “It was inevitable really. It was very clear from how much they were bonded after the acid attack, so this day was always going to come. Sure, in an ideal world Daisy would stay faithful and she would understand that it’s a trauma bond and not true romantic feelings. But at the same time, it’s Soapland and you’ve got to have some fun with it. You can’t be too well behaved.
“Daisy’s filled with pure panic, pure fear, it’s like a bucket of cold water over her,” says Charlotte. “She’s back to reality and it dawns on her the gravity of what she’s done. Daisy’s constantly trying to put out fires. She is exhausted, she is overwhelmed and is trying to keep her head above water. She doesn’t want Daniel to find out because she does love him.
“Maybe Daisy should get a dog. She’s going to be alone and broken up with before long so she’ll need a puppy to cheer her up.”
