Coronation Street actress Channique Sterling-Brown, who plays Dee-Dee Bailey, left fans stunned as she revealed a hidden Emmerdale link while on a TV quiz show
Channique Sterling-Brown is famed for portraying Dee-Dee Bailey in ITV's Coronation Street, but she is also linked to another hit soap, much to fans' surprise. The 27 year old soap star joined Corrie in 2022 before going on to appear on The Big Soap Quiz: Coronation Street v Emmerdale the following year. On the panel Channique was joined by her Corrie co-stars, Tony Maudsley, who plays George Shuttleworth, and Jack P Shepherd, who plays David Platt.
She admitted: "I could have been your daughter, Kevin!" to which Emmerdale star Kevin replied: "You're kidding!" Stephen then explained: "She auditioned" to which Channique replied: "Didn't get the job!" Soap fans will recall that Karene Peter landed the role of Kevin's character, Charles Anderson's daughter Naomi Walters. Naomi made her debut back in July 2022 and left in July 2023 to live in Ibiza.
A second posted: "Dee Dee from #Corrie could have been Charles from #Emmerdale daughter! #BigSoapQuiz!" In the same show, actor Tony shared a funny reason why his character George Shuttleworth won't be leaving Weatherfield.
