It seems Coronation Street's Jane Danson has been left feeling pretty sad as her co-star Samia Longchambon shared a new social media update. .
It was the children's drama that became one of the best-loved programmes on CITV - and it was filmed in Greater Manchester. Debuting its first episode in March 1989, the soap opera for kids was shot in Bolton at the Bolton General Hospital, which is now the Royal Bolton Hospital.Despite being aimed at children and teenagers, Children's Ward didn't shy away from difficult issues with storylines involving cancer, alcoholism, drug addiction, and child abuse.
Meanwhile, Jane played one of Children Ward’s regular characters, Paula, from 1995 to 1997. But it also wasn't her television debut like Samia as she first appeared in the 1991 Alan Bleasdale series GBH as Eileen Critchley. Instagram "It’s sad to hear that CITV is closing as a channel..."
