EXCLUSIVE: Coronation Street star Lucy Fallon opens up to OK! about her tough return to work after maternity leave, her appearance on Drama Queens and her longing for a big white wedding
She’s a talented actress with an adoring boyfriend, a gorgeous son and a beautiful home. But there’s just one thing missing from Lucy Fallon ’s life – a wedding. The Coronation Street star, 28, is mum to 14-month-old Sonny with partner Ryan Ledson, 26, who she has been dating since 2021. But Ryan still hasn’t popped the question, even though Lucy’s made no secret of her desire to marry him.
On the show, Ryan and Lucy go on a romantic adults-only break to Amsterdam. It seems like the perfect opportunity to pop the question, but things take a rather different turn. “I’ll be honest, I don’t think things actually did get that romantic,” laughs Lucy. “We go on a boat but we’re not very soppy with each other. We’re not a very soppy couple. So I’m not sure whether you’ll see that much romance involved. We just take the p*** out of each other mainly.”
However, Sonny wasn’t as fond of being followed around by a camera crew. “The first time that we were filming, he was fine for about an hour then he started kicking off,” says Lucy. “I think he was quite confused why a lot of people were in his house so he’s not really up for the camera at the moment but maybe when he gets older.”
How many children they have is still to play for. Lucy fancies three, but thinks Ryan will be ready to stop after one more. “I’m one of three, so I can see three. But Ryan’s one of two, so he thinks two,” says Lucy. “I felt nervous,” explains Lucy. “It took me a bit of time to get used to it. I felt that because I’d had a baby, I was coming back a completely different person to last time. I have different responsibilities now, so the whole thing was quite nerve-wracking.
