Nicholas is reportedly playing a local businessman, who gets "in too deep with a gangster".on This Morning following several cameos throughout the years.
Holly said: "He went to Spain and then he never came back. He was never killed off, the door was left open, they go and visit him quite frequently." Nicholas landed Coronation Street in 1989 alongside his school friend Simon Gregson - and they played twins Steve and Andy McDonald.His character stayed in the programme for seven years before he was axed, along with several other cast members, in a high-profile cull by a new producer in 1997.
