Peter Ash won the award for Serial Drama Performance at this year's National Television Awards, just days after his Coronation Street character Paul Foreman died.
Coronation Street 's Peter Ash expressed heartfelt gratitude to his fellow cast members as he picked up the trophy for Serial Drama Performance at the 2024 National Television Awards on Wednesday night a momentous occasion during an eventful week for the actor.
Upon receiving his award and the accompanying standing ovation from the entire star-studded audience, an evidently touched Peter voiced his appreciation for the MND community and the MND Association, dedicating his NTA accolade to their cause, reports the Mirror. He expressed his gratitude, as he went on: "A massive thanks to the MND Association who helped us with this storyline form day one, and have been there making sure we get this right and portray it well. Please do support them if you can, they do amazing work. One day we need to find a cure."
