Coronation Street star Alan Halsall has revealed the text message he sent to Ricky Hatton after it was news broke he was dating cobbles co-star Claire Sweeney.
But later, Evelyn received a call and was seen hurrying into A&E reception, explaining that her daughter had been admitted as an emergency after she overdosed. The pair then entered into an emotional confrontation as Cassie revealed she knew that she was living with Tyrone and had been keeping him from her for all these years, but what she didn't know is that Tyrone thought she was dead.
Speaking about Claire joining Corrie, Alan told the Manchester Evening News and other press: "It can be a difficult thing coming into Coronation Street. Everybody knows Claire from previous work and stuff like that but she has come and settled in and aside from me looking slightly older than her sometimes, she's just settled in.
Alan was also quizzed on the potential romance between Cassie and Steve McDonald that is seemingly brewing, and it seems he wouldn't be too keen on Steve becoming Tyrone's stepdad. "I'm not so sure how I'd feel about that. I know how Simon would feel about it, I can tell you that," he laughed.
