Coronation Street star Cait Fitton has joked she's been 'put off' having kids anytime soon after viewers discovered her character Lauren Bolton is pregnant. The teen recently returned to Weatherfield after going missing back in February.
It has since been confirmed that Lauren amazingly survived the brutal bashing and her return came as she appeared at Roy's bedside after he suffered a heart attack in his beloved café after being confronted by a group of yobs over Lauren's disappearance and 'death'. Speaking about the secret now being out about her return and what really happened to Lauren, Cait told the Manchester Evening News at the RadioTimes.com Soap Awards in Manchester on Saturday night : "I feel very overwhelmed. It's been quite a hectic week. Getting all the lovely support online has meant the world to me and it's great to be back on screen. Now it's not a secret anymore I can attend these amazing awards nights and stuff and not have to lie anymore.
And while she doesn't know too much on what's next for Lauren, Cait hope it involves sticking around the cobbles. She told us: "I don't know what's going to happen moving forward but I really hope I'm there as long as I can be. I love it, I love the character, the place and the people. It's such an amazing place to work."
