Maria Costello has been forced to withdraw from this year’s Isle of Man TT under instruction from the event’s chief medical officer after a crash on Monday.Costello was due to contest the Supertwins and Sidecar class at the 2023 TT, having made her debut in the latter in 2019.
Costello had linked up with FHO Racing – who run Peter Hickman in the big bike classes – for her Sidecar campaign at the 2023 TT. On Thursday ahead of the penultimate evening of practice, TT organisers confirmed on social media that she had been advised to sit out the rest of the event following her Monday crash.
“We’d like to wish Maria a speedy recovery and look forward to her continued punditry on this year’s TT+ coverage.”
