All eyes are turning to Mercedes as the 2025 F1 driver market continues to take shape.
However, it is believed that Mercedes ’ favoured Hamilton replacement is their 17-year-old protege Andrea Kimi Antonelli.
There have been suggestions that Mercedes could place Antonelli into an F1 seat at customer team Williams before the end of this season, to help get him up to speed ahead of a potential graduation to the works team in 2025. The prospect of an early promotion for Antonelli this year was discussed on the latest episode of the F1 Nation podcast.
