The back-and-fourth legal clash is one step closer to concluding as judge makes verdict on 'insufficient' measures put in place by site operators
A year-long row between Rushcliffe Borough Council and a caravan park is one step closer to concluding after a judge made a verdic. It follows an incident in which a number of large rocks fell off the side of a cliff and onto a home.
They argued the requests set out in the council's improvement notice - a document that specifies how a company is breaking health and safety law and what needs to be done to correct it - were unfair on a number of grounds. The row began following Mr Scotney's visit to the caravan park in Wharf Lane, where he took photographs showing that "boulders had fallen onto causing damage, albeit not extensive".
Mr Scotney sent a follow-up email 11 days after - neither of which Wyldecrest replied to. Rushcliffe Borough Council then issued the improvement notice, which received a "lengthy reply" from the park operators, according to official tribunal documents.
