Nottinghamshire Live readers have been discussing the recent intervention of the Labour Party's National Executive Committee (NEC) in the selection process of the council's new leader
The Labour Party 's National Executive Committee have stepped into the Nottingham City Council leadership election, delaying the selection of a fresh leader. The NEC's involvement in the selection process has led to a wave of discussions and concerns from Nottinghamshire Live readers.
A Labour spokesperson said: "The challenges facing Nottingham City Council are a result of 14 years of brutal Conservative cuts to local government. Peteralfred said: "Keir Starmer Nottingham's troubles are not to do with government cutbacks, they're to do with Nottingham City Council wasting our money on projects they knew nothing about."
