The veteran politician, who had skin cancer in his 30s, brought forward a motion on the subject at Thursday’s fullCouncillor McMillan, who represents Johnstone South and Elderslie, said: “I was listening to a debate during the summer and it was talking about the nurseries and that’s great that it’s used in nurseries.
“I think if you’re in nursery you maybe learn a wee bit about sun cream but you probably don’t quite understand what’s going on. There are around 16,700 new melanoma skin cancer cases in the United Kingdom every year – representing 46 every day.
