The two choirs, both from Rockwall, will compete at an international championship in New York City.
Urban, celebrating a new collaboration with Lainey Wilson, will play an intimate gig at the 400-person-capacity Club Dada. Last time he performed in Dallas, in fact, he did so at the American Airlines Center -- home of the Dallas Mavericks and Dallas Stars, and a venue with a capacity of around 20,000 people -- as the final American stop on his Graffiti U World Tour back in 2018.
So this news comes as a bit of a shocker, then: On Friday, May 3, Urban will play a pop-up show at the Deep Ellum venue Urban announced the surprise show on social media Thursday -- giving fans less than 48 hours' notice about the gig. Not surprisingly,on Saturday, May 4, at Austin's Moody Center alongside Jason Aldean, Jelly Roll and others. But it's a collaboration with another rising country performer that's to credit for the short-notice Dallas show.
