A couple in Southport were left disgusted after discovering mould growing on a Quarter Pounder burger they ordered from McDonald's. This is not the first incident of finding mould on takeaway food in the area.
A couple have been left disgusted after spending £30 on a McDonald's to discover mould growing on the Quarter Pounder burger.
This isn't the first time this has happened while ordering takeaway food, just last month the Record told how a disgusted woman also found mould on her burger bun after spending £32 on a takeout. The raging mum said she rang the store to complain, who told her to bring the food back, which she did and was offered a replacement meal which she refused
Her hubby then escalated his complaint to head office but was met with a prepared response about buns. "Of these, only one tray had mould and this was instantly disposed of. The rest of the buns were fine and were kept separate from the mouldy buns. Heather said: "We might have a meal waiting for us but we aren't going to go there. A voucher that doesn't even cover the cost of the money we spent is laughable."
