Couple fined because it took them two hours to get out of Tesco car park

An elderly couple have fumed at an ‘absolutely crazy’ parking fine received after they were stuck in gridlocked traffic.

A driver says he was left ‘bouncing off the wall’ when he was fined after getting stuck in a Tesco car park.

Rather than them both being stuck there, Helen, 69, decided to walk the one and-a-half-mile journey home. But then they got a £70 fine because they had exceeded the maximum three-hour stay for Horizon Parking.
