Couple quoted £10k for their designer kitchen transform it for a tenth of the price
A SAVVY couple managed to bag a swanky kitchen worth £10,000 for a tenth of the price by shopping around and buying second-hand.
"We bought a shaker-style, solid wood kitchen from a lady in Normanton and we hired a company to collect it for us. "We fitted the kitchen ourselves and painted it with Frenchic 'Swanky Pants’, a light grey colour, and added new door handles. The paint cost £17.95. "These included a pair of Avery vintage weighing scales bought for £20 and a Birchleaf coffee grinder purchased for £20.
