Booster jab time is almost here
Lancashire residents will need to check if they are eligible to get a Covid-19 booster this autumn 2023 following the end of the 2022 scheme.
Another round of booster shots are encouraged for those at highest risk in the autumn the JCVI has advised. It has issued interim advice to the Government to prepare for a similar scheme that was rolled out in autumn 2022.It said that a smaller group of people should also be offered a spring booster including older people and those who are immunosuppressed, with details to be set out shortly.
At present anyone who was aged five or over on August 31 2022 can still get their primary course at walk-in centres or by using the NHS’s national booking service. Unjabbed people are being urged to get their vaccine “before the offer closes”.
