Covid deaths rise by 15% in a week
UK Covid deaths have risen by 15 per cent in a week with 37 new fatalities recorded in 24 hours.
Despite doomsday predictions of soaring cases and hospitalisations over the summer, infections appear to have stabilised at around 30,000 a day.On January 22, 4,096 people were in critical care beds suffering with Covid, while 1,041 deaths were recorded. Under the plan nightclubs and concern venues would be able to avoid social distancing by asking people to produce the NHS app.
