Staff said David Cox’s behaviour made them feel ‘awkward and uncomfortable’.
One member of staff, who wished to remain anonymous, told Metro.co.uk that the ‘morale has definitely improved’ since Mr Cox was removed from the site on Tuesday, making them ‘feel more at ease’.
Staff at the Postwick Park & Ride coronavirus testing site claim their manager made them feel ‘awkward and uncomfortable’ In a secretly recorded video of that meeting, Mr Cox is heard saying: ‘I will not take it personally if you come and speak to me and say I have upset you, we will sit down and talk about it and move on. But what I do not like is things being raised to other people… you should be big enough and brave enough to come and speak to me if you are upset.’When no-one speaks up, Mr Cox says: ‘I take it i haven’t upset anybody then.
‘It’s a very old comedy programme and there was phrases used in that that nowadays you couldn’t use and that was the context of the conversation. So I do apologise if I caused offence but I can assure you that that word that was supposedly said in a derogatory way would not be used towards anyone at all.
In one, he shares a ‘thought provoking passage written by an Englishman in his homeland… which is equally relevant to any other white country’. The passage questions why Muslim only schools are allowed ‘when white only schools are not’ and asks why people say whites commit a lot of violence ‘when ghettos are the most dangerous places to live’.
