As cases of Covid soar, here's everything you need to know about lateral flow tests (LFT) and where to get them
Coughs and sneezes seem to be everywhere we turn as the autumn temperatures drop. But is it just a bad cold? Is it the flu? Or could it be Covid ? With free lateral flow tests no longer free for everyone, many of us aren't testing. But as cases of the nasty new Pirola variant rise, it can be worth knowing if you do have Covid, especially if you spend time with vulnerable people like grandparents or pregnant women.
Can I get a Covid test for free? While most people have to pay for Covid tests now, some can still get free lateral flow tests from the NHS. This includes people who have a health condition that means they're at the highest risk of getting seriously ill from Covid.
