QB Trey Lance passed for a touchdown and rushed for another as the Dallas Cowboys defeated the Las Vegas Raiders 27-12 in a preseason game.

The Cowboys committed three penalties on special teams. Aubrey sent a first-quarter kickoff out of bounds, allowing the Raiders to get the ball at their 40. It ended with the Raiders converting a field goal. Special teams ace C.J. Goodwin was flagged for holding in the second quarter negating a 19-yard return by Jalen Cropper. Cropper muffed a punt in the second quarter that led to a Raiders field goal in the second quarter. He tripped over his own feet and lost the ball on the return.
Early in the game, the Cowboys almost had two interceptions. Linebacker Willie Harvey dropped an interception on the first series of the contest and corner Josh DeBerry almost picked off a third-quarter 2-point conversion try. The Raiders played portions of their first-team defense for a majority of the first half, while the Cowboys didn’t do that. The Cowboys faced the Raiders first-team offense for almost the same amount of time.
