Weta Workshop has announced that its upcoming Lord of the Rings life sim Tales of the Shire has been delayed and will not arrive on Xbox until 2025.
Players looking forward to living the life of a Hobbit for the Tales of the Shire achievements will need to wait a little longer. Weta Workshop has announced that Tales of the Shire has been delayed, but a showcase on September 22 will reveal the Xbox simulation game's new early 2025 release date. Tales of the Shire now launches on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One in 2025https://youtu.
In a statement shared on X, Weta says, 'When a new Hobbit steps into Bywater for the very first time, we want that moment to be everything you're hoping for. To ensure we deliver that vision, Tales of the Shire will now be launching early 2025.' While news of a delay is disappointing, we don't need to wait too long until we can see more from the game, as well as its release date.
