Cracker Barrel is testing a new 20-item menu in select markets. Per the outlet, the overhauled menu will be tested at certain locations in Texas as part of the company's strategic transformation, which was announced last month.The highlights of the revamped menu include the following items, per the outlet:- Cheesy green chile cornbread, which comes drizzled in honey and topped with whipped butter.
- Grilled cinnamon streusel bread, which is topped with cinnamon and cream cheese icing. It comes with two eggs and your choice of sausage or bacon. According to NRN, the menu's daily specials will rotate with menu classics like the Lemon Pepper Trout n' Classic Turnip Greens and the Southern BBQ Ribs and Chicken n' Rice.
"For nearly 55 years, guests have known and loved us for our authentic, homestyle cooking, and that's not going away, we've only added more flavor and crave to the menu and made it easier to navigate," Cammie Spillyards-Schaefer, senior vice president of operations for Cracker Barrel, said in a statement obtained by the outlet. "We look forward to gaining valuable feedback from both our guests and employees on the test.
