This Morning presenter Craig Doyle defended Meghan Markle's new Netflix series, 'With Love, Meghan,' after the first trailer received negative online reactions. The series features Meghan sharing cooking, gardening, and crafting tips, alongside appearances from various celebrities. Critics, however, pointed out the show's use of a $5 million mansion instead of Meghan's own home, arguing it presents an unrealistic portrayal of everyday life. While some panelists expressed concerns about the series' disconnect from ordinary people, others defended Meghan's right to monetize her brand and platform to raise awareness about important issues.
This Morning star Craig Doyle was quick to defend Meghan Markle as her latest venture has caused backlash online. The Duchess of Sussex is set to have her own Netflix series titled With Love , Meghan.
However, the first trailer for the series hasn't gone down well with many people. Speaking about the reaction on Friday's This Morning, presenter Craig Doyle rushed to her defence. Instead, it's filmed in a $5million mansion close to where she lives. Mercy said: "I think it's controversial because for me, this idea that celebrities, I think she lives in this 16-bedroom in Montecito, or something like that, celebrities who have millions of pounds at their disposal, they come along and they tell ordinary people, 'This is how you can live well'. Yeah you can live well when you have millions of pounds at your disposal.
"The reality is, I don't mind that she's making money, she's going to use her influence, hopefully to bring to the fore some interesting subjects, particularly, mainly amongst women, about women's health, I think that's a good thing to do."
