Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood addressed the latest show drama during a candid talk on BBC Breakfast with host Naga Munchetty.
Craig Revel Horwood appeared taken aback while he was put under the spotlight by BBC Breakfast presenters Naga Munchetty and Charlie Stayt about the upheaval affecting the popular dancing competition.
Amanda Abbington's shocking allegations against Giovanni Pernice concerning unsuitable behaviour in practice sessions have cast a shadow over the BBC's prime dance show, accusations he fervently denies. BBC Radio 5 Live presenter Naga Munchetty didn't waste any time, asking Craig directly: "Listen, can we just go straight in, let's talk about what's going on at Strictly?" Craig expressed his surprise, saying: "That was a shock."
Craig confirmed: "Yeah, the allegations," and went on to say: "I was completely gobsmacked by the whole thing and of course, I found out in the press because of course, the judges are all kept very separate from all the contestants and all the pros." The TV judge disclosed: "I had a Russian Ballet teacher who used to have a cane and she would whack us with it, you know just so you're not pulling up from the thigh, to make you engage your hamstrings."
