The team play in the Appin Warriors Championship division
An amateur football team set up to give out of shape and overweight men the opportunity to play the beautiful game recently celebrated its first anniversary.

The club train on a Thursday night and play on Sundays.
"There is criteria in that you are only allowed four players on the pitch at any one time that are under 30 BMI at any one time. In our team since the start of the season we’ve had three or four players who lost quite a bit of weight and are under 30 BMI. “We’ve got about 38 guys who come to training but we can only have a match squad of 20 each week. We do monthly weigh-ins to encourage people to focus on losing weight, and for a lot of people it’s just about getting them off the couch.
The Craigneuk team, which is predominantly made up of players from the Wishaw area joined the Appin Warriors Championship division in the league’s second season.
