Crazy Pedro's Liverpool is set to close its doors on December 22nd after seven years of operation. The popular pizzeria and bar cited the current economic climate as the reason for its closure, despite being 'doing great'. The venue will celebrate its final days with a farewell party, including free pizza and buy-one-get-one-free drinks.
Pizzeria and bar Crazy Pedro's announced the closure of its Liverpool site earlier this week. The Parr Street venue will cease operations on December 22 after seven years of trading. A spokesperson for Crazy Pedro's told the ECHO the decision did not come lightly and conversations were underway months in advance . Although the bar was 'doing great', the business was unable to continue in the current economical climate.
Crazy Pedro's is run by hospitality operators Ross Mackenzie, Jobe Ferguson and Lyndon Higginson , who run bars and restaurants in Manchester including the Cane & Grain. Late in 2023, another of the group's venues, a Tiki bar named The Liars Club, announced its closure. Customers and industry friends were equally surprised and devastated to learn the loved venue would say farewell. Following the initial announcement, Crazy Pedro's was flooded with support. Pal in Almost Famous said: 'Oh man we’re so gutted to hear this - best neighbours ever and you’ll be so missed. We’ll be in soon for pizza and a bye bye tequila.' Instagram user Hazadam said: 'The best venue in town.' Callme.ghostface said: 'Genuinely heart broken. One of the few places in the city centre that actually played good music and had a cosy vibe. You’ll be missed.' Loupowellevans said: 'sad times. Me and my now husband had our first pizza slice and drinks here as we carried on our first date . One of our favourite places for drinks and a dance . Gutted x.' Teyaa_x said: 'Im crying my eyes out right now. You will be missed.' The Crazy Pedro's spokesperson said they have been inundated with bookings and interest since the announcement. The venue will celebrate its seven years of operating by hosting a huge farewell party as a way to give back to customers for all their support. On December 22, Crazy Pedro's will be giving away free pizza to all customers all night. There will also be buy-one-get-one-free offers on all drinks
