Hikers in Queensland are being asked not to climb the popular Sunshine Coast mountain Tibrogargan as a sign of respect for NAIDOC Week.
GT Communications’ Emilie Dye said hikers should be allowed on the land as long as they are “respectful of that land and don’t mistreat it”.
“I think we need to share this land, and we need to share this land between people of different backgrounds, First Nations and people who have come here later,” Ms Dye told Sky News host Amanda Stoker.
