Michael Carmona, 25, confronted about his behaviour towards his three alleged victims at the Royal Navy's largest training establishment of HMS Raleigh in Cornwall.
A 'creepy' Royal Navy recruit tormented fellow male trainees by 'cupping and squeezing' their genitals while they were naked in the shower, sleeping in bed or walking past him in the corridor, a court martial heard.
When confronted about his behaviour towards his three alleged victims at the Royal Navy's largest training establishment of HMS Raleigh in Cornwall, the defendant claimed it was just playful 'banter'. Opening the four day trial at Bulford Military Court, Wiltshire, prosecutor Graham Coombes said the offences took place early last year.'They had their genitals touched by the accused. As a result, he was given a written lawful command not to approach any of the complainants. It is alleged he disregarded that and spoke to .'
'In week two, without warning cupped his genitals with his right hand over his clothing out of nowhere' he said. 'On another occasion the accused made physical contact with his genitals, squeezing his penis briefly.' Mr Coombes said the final alleged victim was another recruit in the same class and occurred whilst he was in the shower at 10pm on his own.'As he was washing hair and face with soap the alleged cupped his genitals in his hand and slapped him on this bottom before he pushed him away.'
Of his showering habits in general, he said: 'When he and other male recruits were in the shower, he would look at their genitals rather than their faces which he would find creepy.
