Contra Costa County Fire and Cal Fire crews were working Sunday to contain a grass fire that broke out in Pittsburg around 4:40 p.m.
The Contra Costa County Fire Protection District responded to a building on fire off John Henry Johnson Parkway, which extended to the grass.The John Fire was just over 55 acres and 40% contained as of 6 p.m., according to Contra Costa County Fire.
