An attempted murder probe is underway
Crime scene investigators have been pictured scouring a street in Gorton for evidence this morning after a shooting.
Follow LIVE updates on this incident in our blog here Greater Manchester Police said the investigation is 'moving at pace'. A cordon was put in place after the shooting yesterday, with officers taping off a large section of Hampden Crescent. In a statement issued last night, a GMP spokesperson said: "At approximately 5:45pm this evening , officers were called to reports of a firearms discharge on Hampden Crescent in Manchester. A 19-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries although these are not believed to be life-threatening.
