The season 2 finale had a cliffhanger ending.
Summary Criminal Minds: Evolution season 2 ended with a cliffhanger and many questions that should be addressed in the next season. The season finale picked up where Criminal Minds: Evolution season 2, episode 9 left off, with Jade triggering an explosion at Aida Limited’s serial killer training campground. Every time the BAU seemed to have finally cracked the “Gold Star” conspiracy theory, a plot twist revealed there was even more for the team to uncover.
Voit continued to play a major role in the Criminal Minds: Evolution season 2 finale, as the BAU team was forced to work with him once again to help save Emily. In exchange for help finding Emily, Voit asked to be placed in the general population at his new prison. This was an odd request, as he enjoys being alone. However, they complied with his orders, leaving him in the general population under his birth name, Lee Duval.
By the start of the Criminal Minds: Evolution season 2 finale, every “Gold Star” program member had appeared except for Peter B. When he did appear, it was revealed that the B. stood for Bailey, and Peter was Douglas Bailey's younger brother. Thus, Douglas knew about the “Gold Star” program, the conspiracy theories Peter and the others got involved with, and had worked to stop them. He was unsuccessful, but he trusted the BAU team to pick up where he left off.
