Kinikilala ni Cristy Fermin ang karapatan ni Bea Alonzo na magsampa ng reklamong online libel laban sa kaniya, at handa raw siya na harapin ito.
"Ito po ay karapatan ng kahit na sino. Sinuman po ay maaaring magsampa ng anumang kaso sa sinuman, lalo na po sa aming trabaho bilang mga mamamahayag," pahayag ni Cristy sa kaniyang programang Cristy Fer Minute.
Nagsampa ng reklamong cyber libel si Bea nitong Huwebes sa Quezon City Prosecutors Office nitong Huwebes laban kina Cristy, Ogie Diaz, at sa kani-kanilang co-hosts sa kani-kanilang online program dahil umano sa mga mapanirang pahayag. Humingi ng paumanhin si Cristy sa mga humingi ng kaniyang komento na hindi niya kaagad masagot dahil hindi pa sila nakakakuha ng kopya ng reklamo.
"Wala pa po akong detalyadong maibibigay sa inyo dahil wala pa po kaming hawak na impormasyon. Hindi pa po namin alam kung anu-ano ang laman ng kanyang sinumpaang salaysay kung bakit siya nagdemanda ng kasong libelo," niya.
