On Wednesday December 4, police officers in Lanarkshire attended two crashes in Cumbernauld and Chapelhall. Two drivers were arrested in connection with the crashes.
In the first incident at around 4.55pm on Wednesday, December 4, police received reports of a vehicle that had lost control on South Muirhead Road in Cumbernauld .
A 52-year-old man was allegedly within the driver seat and was unable to see out of the windscreen clearly. Checks were carried out with the vehicle allegedly found to have no MOT and was declared off road, meaning the insurance was invalid. In the second incident, officers attended a three-vehicle crash on Queens Crescent in Chapelhall at around 10.30pm on Wednesday, December 4.
