The woman was found to be driving with only a provisional licence, and officers found a one-year-old baby to be travelling in an unsecured car seat.
On Wednesday, November 20, officers stopped a vehicle on Oak Road at around 9am and found the female driver, 35, to be the holder of a provisional licence only, making her insurance invalid.
The vehicle was seized and the woman was charged with alleged road traffic offences. A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal. "About 9am on Wednesday 20th November 2024 officers carried out a routine stop of a car on Oak Road Cumbernauld. Within the car was a 35-year-old female and a 1-year-old child.
