Dungeons & Dragons becomes much more than just a game in Plethos Productions’ “She Kills Monsters” at Heirloom East Bay in Castro Valley.

Plethos Productions brings the excitement of Dungeons & Dragons to the stage with “She Kills Monsters,” running Sept. 6-22. The epic tale of homicidal fairies, nasty ogres and ’90s pop culture runs Sept. 6-22.

Stereotypical views go out the window as two married couples — one very liberal, pro-choice and anti-guns with the other pro-life, gun-collecting conservatives — find themselves forced together for nine months when an incompetent fertility doctor mistakenly plants the liberal woman’s fertilized egg into the other woman’s womb.

Quimpo also gets his comedic chops in as the fumbling young doctor who can’t stop smiling when nervous. Here, Rosalind runs to the Forest of Arden in search of her father and away from her tyrannical uncle who usurped her father’s dukedom. Her uncle’s daughter Celia accompanies Rosalind resulting in a large search party looking for the two women.

The improbable farce features Greg Brown, Savannah Daniels, Bill Dietz, Becky Doyle, Shiv Harris, Paige Whitney and the marvelous Melynda Kiring as the eccentric Madame Arcati.At just 7 years old, he lives in a tent in a San Jose homeless encampment and wishes he had a microwave and a shower
