Staff went 'above and beyond'

Customers of a popular Nottinghamshire shop have expressed their sadness over its shock closure, with one saying "nothing was ever too much to ask". Balloon Explosion in Derby Road, Stapleford, announced on its Facebook page the news of the closure for June 24.

The statement reads: "As you may have already heard, we will be closing the shop on the 24th June 2023, so before we close, all our fancy dress, either adult or child, are £5 each to clear. All of our accessories are half-price so why not pop in and grab a bargain before we shut." One customer posted: "Thank you for doing my children’s birthday balloons over the past few years, you’ve always gone above and beyond to get what I wanted so I appreciate it. Good luck to the staff and whatever you choose to do next xx."Another wrote: "Such a shame.

And another said: "So sad to read this. You were brilliant for my son's party last year and was hoping to come again in August for this year's party. Nothing was ever too much to ask. Thanks again. And all the best for the future x". One mum wrote: "Absolutely gutted you're closing. You've done my daughter's birthday balloons for so many years previous to this."
