The Bureau of Customs (BOC) has welcomed the World Bank’s recent report which showed the Philippines has improved its logistics performance ranking which covers 139 countries.
The Bureau of Customs has welcomed the World Bank’s recent report which showed the Philippines has improved its logistics performance ranking which covers 139 countries.
Customs Commissioner Bienvenido Rubio lauded the report, which he said showed that the improved Customs ranking proves the effectiveness of the bureau’s performance and trade facilitation program. The World Bank’s LPI rates economies based on customs performance, infrastructure, international shipments, logistics competence and equity, timeliness, and tracking and tracing metrics.
A complete assessment of trade facilitation needs and priorities was also evaluated and implemented, as well as periodic monitoring and measuring of the outcomes of specific initiatives, policies, and programs, it said.
