The 71-year-old took to the iconic pyramid stage at Glastonbury this weekend and has sparked concern online with her performance.
Cyndi Lauper's Glastonbury gig sparked quite the buzz online, with some fans at Worthy Farm choosing to leave her set early. The iconic 71-year-old singer, famed for her anthem Girls Just Want To Have Fun, graced the Pyramid Stage on Saturday afternoon.
Addressing the Glastonbury audience, Cyndi expressed her delight at playing the festival and extended a "happy Pride for those celebrating" to those celebrating. Before launching into Change Of Heart, she quipped about a mishap while dancing in Leicester Square for the 1986 track's video, where she trod on "some of the pansies" and joked she's "not allowed there anymore".
While performing her hit Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, her audio improved as she made references to the feminist marches of 2017 where American women donned pink "Pussyhats".
