UFC: Dana White has delivered an update for UFC303, the worst possible news for fight fans.
Robert Whittaker’s team have accused polarising American Sean Strickland of acting “entitled” when it comes to a UFC title shot and warned it will be their man who gets next crack at the crown with a win in Saudi Arabia this Sunday.
While the Sydneysider was initially meant to face undefeated UFC star Khamzat Chimaev, the latter has been ruled out with an undisclosed illness – albeit one serious enough to prompt whispers of premature retirement. While, initially, the winner of Whittaker-Chimaev was being talked up to face the winner, former champ Strickland has also suggested he should be next man up after defeating Brazilian Paulo Costa and UFC 302 in June.
