Highs most days reach 90 or higher with plenty of humidity
The pause in humidity is ending. As July ends and August begins, we’ll have a seasonably sticky weather pattern with muggy afternoons near 90 degrees and the chance for some showers and storms. These storms will be of the hit-or-miss type, not the widespread soaking rains we need to put a meaningful dent in the drought. There should be plenty of sun in the morning with more clouds popping up in the afternoon.
Numerous showers and storms are likely, especially late in the day. Don’t expect an all-day washout and some areas could get missed. Highs reach the mid-80s for most with winds from the south around 10 mph. Confidence: Medium-HighShowers and storms are most probable in the evening before fading overnight. Lows range from the upper 60s to mid-70s amid mostly cloudy skies.
