It was not immediately clear what prompted the gunfire, and no description of any suspect was available.
One man was killed and three others were wounded in an outburst of gunfire late Friday in the Trinidad area of Northeast Washington, according to D.C. police.
Donte Dudley, 22, of Northeast, was killed about 9:55 p.m. in the 1200 block of Raum Street NE, the police said. Fast, informative and written just for locals. Raum Street is a residential street near Montello Avenue, and just east of the campus of Gallaudet University. The shooting did not appear connected to the university, said police Commander Sylvan A. Altieri, head of the fifth police district. The street is lined with attached, two-story apartment buildings, with red brick fronts and white window trim.
