A man whose body was found in Clumber Park died from multiple stab wounds. Liam Rushland died on November 29, 2023 after sustaining injuries to his neck, chest and abdomen.
Coroner Nathan Hartley opened an inquest into Mr Rushland's death on Monday, February 12 at Nottingham Coroners Court. He stated: "I'm opening this inquest touching upon the death of Liam Rushland, who was born on 3 March 1985."Identified by his stepfather to PC Walton at Queen's Medical Centre. A post-mortem examination has been carried out, which has ruled the preliminary cause of death as 1A, stab wounds to the neck, chest and abdomen.
Mr Rushland had previously been reported missing from the Balby area. A crowdfunding appeal was launched following his death, with £2645 being raised so far.

Officers from Police Scotland launched a frantic search to trace the 35-year-old from Drylaw, Edinburgh, after he was last seen on January 7.
