Dad-of-two Seán Feeney, 29, lost his life at the beginning of this month after confronting youngsters targeting his family home.

The partner of a young man who died said he suffered a suspected heart attack while chasing a gang of kids who were throwing rocks at their house. She said she hopes there can be a law change to allow police to deal with the anti-social youths in Cobh, Republic of Ireland, making the claims on Thursday morning on Red FM.

"There was something thrown at the house on Saturday night while my mam was here as Seán was away with his family for his dad's 60th birthday. A picture came off the wall, it was that bad. He came home the Sunday evening, early evening, he was in great form. Sam says she hopes that highlighting the issue of ‘untouchable’ groups causing trouble will stop something similar happening to another family. She added: "I've just got this thing in my head that things need to change.
